In prayer, as early as 2000, God dealt with Barrington and Sheila Rawls about forming a Branch of Zion whose central theme would be “LOVE”. Given their love for God, He knew He could trust them with His people, no matter how broken or downtrodden the individuals are. Therefore, in July 2004, Barrington and Sheila Rawls began to “press toward the mark” and went forth with what God had pressed in their spirits for some time, and initiated life to Agape Christian Center (ACC) by having a meeting with approximately 10 family and friends with no external financial support.

Even though life of ACC was created in 2004, the foundation of ACC was laid and the actual ministry began in 2005 during 5am prayer at the Pastors’ home in their living room every Saturday. During early Morning Prayer, God’s presence was ushered in, and His presence brought about change, which was evident because families were being restored, marriages were being renewed, people were being birth out, impartation was taking place, and deliverance was center stage. God left His mark and reassured the people that He is real by showing His Glory running down the walls.

Approximately one year later, the Pastors decided to have a special service on Saturday, August 26, 2006, entitled, “Worship Revolution”, to celebrate God. This special service was to reiterate the importance of worship and that God was seeking a lifestyle, mindset, heart condition, and worship that stems from the way we live our lives every second, so that He can transform our hearts.

On Sunday, October 8, 2006, ACC relocated from the pastors’ living room to its first physical location, where they held its first official Sunday morning church service at the Best Western Hotel in Oxon Hill, Maryland. As the ministry began to grow in membership, the pastors found it necessary to seek larger facilities. On Sunday, July 1, 2007, William Beanes Elementary School in Suitland, Maryland, became the new home for ACC to worship. Because of the relocation, ACC was able to begin having bible study in order to educate people the unadulterated Word of God. Even though people were being taught and groomed in the things of God, ACC encountered growing pains, which allowed them to go through trials and tribulations to make them stronger.  These growing pains afforded ACC the opportunity to grace many locations.  Even though ACC graced many locations, in 2017 the church began a transition to take them to the next level.  During this time the Pastors sought God for reconstructing, renewing and reviving the church He had given them.  This led to a transformation where everything became new, even the name, because of the people that would be impacted.  On March 3, 2018 The Love Factor was birthed.

The Love Factor is a non-denominational church, who is totally dependent on the Lord Jesus Christ, and is under the Fresh Fire Ministries & Fellowship International led by Apostle Shawn and Overseer Yolanda Stephens.

To reach those that are “unchurched” through the love of God.

We, at The Love Factor, nurture people “INTO” passionately LOVING God, authentically LOVING others, and genuinely giving the world what GOD has given us.  The people of TLF are liberated and lifted in love.
